WHY IT MATTERS:

Pennsylvania’s workforce needs and students’ future opportunities are closely connected. Yet students cannot pursue careers they have never encountered. Career Awareness & Preparation gives students opportunities to explore industries, meet professionals, learn about education and training pathways, and make more informed decisions about life after high school.

PCD is a nonprofit intermediary serving South Central Pennsylvania, connecting schools with employers, postsecondary institutions, and community partners to create meaningful career experiences. The October 20 event will highlight the value of these partnerships and the need to sustain and expand access to career development opportunities.

MEDIA INVITATION:

Members of the media are invited to attend, hear directly from students and leaders, and capture interviews and visuals highlighting the connection between career development, education, and Pennsylvania’s workforce.
