Boyer & Ritter Announces Two New Principals Among 14 Firmwide Promotions Effective July 1

CAMP HILL, PA (June 23, 2026) – Boyer & Ritter LLC is proud to announce the election of Wesley Veigle, CPA, and Casey Surridge, CPA, to Principal, advancing two accomplished leaders whose experience and insight position the firm for continued growth.

In total, 14 professionals across the firm have been promoted, reflecting Boyer & Ritter’s commitment to developing its people while expanding the depth and breadth of its client advisory capabilities. Collectively, these promotions deepen the firm’s bench and expand its ability to deliver insight-driven, client-focused advisory services across industries.

Veigle and Surridge have demonstrated sustained leadership, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to client service. Their promotion to Principal reflects Boyer & Ritter’s focus on advancing the next generation of firm leadership.

Promoted to Principal

Wesley Veigle, CPA, is a leader in the firm’s Construction and Real Estate Practice Group. He serves on the board of the BDO Construction Accounting Network and is active in several construction industry organizations, including the Construction Industry CPAs/Consultants Association, Associated Builders and Contractors, Construction Financial Management Association, and American Subcontractors Association. Veigle earned a BS in Accounting from West Chester University.

Casey Surridge, CPA, is a leader in the firm’s Dealership Services Group, providing accounting, attest, tax, and business advisory services to dealerships throughout the Mid-Atlantic. He advises clients on process improvement, internal controls, and office operations, drawing on prior dealership controller experience. Surridge earned a BSBA and MAcc in Accountancy from Bloomsburg University.

 

Promoted to Director

Emily Roman, CPA provides audit and assurance services for clients in the firm’s Construction and Employee Benefit Plan Services Groups. She earned a BS in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and was named a 2025 Women of Influence honoree by the Central Penn Business Journal.

William Kocher, CPA works from the firm’s State College office and serves clients in the Small Business Group. He has nearly 15 years of experience providing accounting, tax advisory, and tax compliance services, with a focus on individual and business tax services. Kocher earned a BS in Accounting with a minor in the Legal Environment of Business from Penn State University.

 

Promoted to Senior Manager

Mariya Cawley serves clients in the firm’s Dealership Services Group, providing accounting, tax, and advisory support tailored to the operational needs of dealerships. A graduate of Towson University with a BS in Accounting, she brings a practical, client-focused approach to helping dealership clients manage financial and business needs.

Tina Gipe works from the firm’s Chambersburg office, with a primary focus on government services and organizations subject to the Single Audit Act. She brings strong technical knowledge of GAAP, GAGAS, Uniform Guidance, financial accounting, and auditing to her client service work.

Chris Merkey is an experienced accounting professional who serves clients in the firm’s Dealership Services Group. He earned a BS in Accounting from Bloomsburg University and brings prior dealership controllership experience to his client service role.

Promoted to Manager

Cassandra Root provides accounting, auditing, and tax services for the firm’s Employee Benefit Plans and Small Business Groups. She earned a BS in Accounting and an MBA from Shippensburg University.


Promoted to Supervisor

Chase Carpenter, CPA earned a BS in Accounting and Management from Shippensburg University, graduating with honors. Carpenter interned with Boyer & Ritter in 2021 and joined the firm in 2022.

Zoe Eubert, CPA joined Boyer & Ritter in 2023 and interned for the firm in 2022. She earned a BS in Accounting with a minor in Economics from Susquehanna University.

Bethany Spencer, CPA, Quality Assurance Supervisor, supports the firm’s quality assurance processes, helping maintain standards and consistency across engagements. Bethany earned a BS in Accounting with a minor in Mathematics in 2018 and a Master of Accountancy in 2019 from Juniata College.

Promoted to Senior Associate

Madison Bucher, CPA earned a BS in Accounting with a minor in Economics and an M. Acc from Bloomsburg University.

Keefer Neidig earned a BS and a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Shippensburg University.

Ellyn Gomulka earned a BS in Accounting from Penn State University and is a past AICPA Foundation Legacy Scholarship recipient.
